Look Around!

Have you ever realized how much of an impact adults have on the world around them? Next time you are in the company of other adults or children and speak or interact with another person, stop and observe what effect you are having. Many people act or verbalize without regard for the impact they are making on other people's lives. When dealing with children it is especially important to carefully consider what you are saying or doing. Adults play a very important part in children's lives because they are the role models for these children. Children grow up and incorporate behaviors they have seen in significant adults in their lives. Good or bad, children instill things they have seen and experienced into their own behaviors.
This is also true of adults impacting the lives of other adults. We have all seen how coworkers will be affected by any type of activity in the workspace, positive or negative. If everyone took time to listen and observe their personal actions and impact and are willing to change any negative feelings and attitudes into positive thoughts and actions, their lives would be more fulfilling. We cannot control how other people think and act or the impact they will make, but we all can strive to be more positive and appreciate all the opportunities we have to improve our attitude and make a more positive impact to all the people we encounter.
